Frequently Asked Questions
What is Hospitality Leaders Against Famine?
It is a campaign led by senior figures from the UK hospitality sector. Together we are calling on the UK Government to take urgent action to address the food crisis unfolding in Gaza.
Why is the hospitality sector speaking out?
Hospitality is an industry built on food, care and human connection. We believe access to food is a basic human right. As leaders in this sector, we cannot stand by in silence whilst a man made famine is unfolding before our eyes.
What is the purpose of the open letter?
The open letter asks the UK Government to use its influence to:
ensure unrestricted humanitarian access for food, water and medical aid
support a cessation of hostilities to allow aid delivery
facilitate large-scale humanitarian operations
Who can sign the letter?
The letter is intended for senior leaders and decision-makers in the hospitality sector — such as CEOs, founders, investors, suppliers, professionals and other recognised leaders from the sector.
How are signatures approved?
When someone submits their details, they are reviewed by the campaign organisers. At this stage, only verified hospitality leaders are added to the public list of signatories. This ensures the letter carries the industry weight required to influence government.
